Love Classic Rock? Who doesn't? Still, Meetup didn't have much of a Classic Rock presence, that is until now! Do you hope you never hear N Sync's acapella version of, "More Than A Feeling?" Do you think of The Eagles as a band, not just a football team? Are you aware that Billy Idol wasn't the first one to do, "Mony Mony"? Did you know that vinyl can be used for something other than seat covers? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this group is for you! My name is Andy Troy & dur …

Maybe you moved to New York to sing professionally, and somewhere along the way you forgot how to have fun. Maybe you sing strictly in the privacy of your own shower, and you'd like to find out how much fun it can be to sing in front of others. There aren't a lot of places where it's okay to sing just for fun! In our meetups, we gather in a rehearsal space in Manhattan with an accompanist, and we take turns getting up in front of each other and singing just for the joy of it. Broadway, opera, p …
A home for all acoustic players, singers, and people who like to play unplugged in general. While all levels are welcome, we are an Intermediate to Advanced group. We currently have two main alternating Meetups: - One is a "Chord jam" where we all play and sing the same song at once, and the experts get a chance to solo. - The other is a "Performance Night" where we each take turns playing a song solo or with a friend. These are usually blues, rags, bluegrass, country or also folk/modern, d …
I decided to start this group so singers, voice teachers, actors and speakers could have a live first hand experience of the transformation and stretching of your vocal potential that is possible through my work. These live meetup/seminars will each include: 1. Unique warm up exercises, 2. New techniques for a deeper understanding of the body and breath as an instrument of support, 3. Individual coaching as time allows. Come and enjoy the fun and exploration of these unique techniques and e …
We are a creative community center in the heart of Westport in a 19th century carriage house that looks like a little red schoolhouse. We hold all kinds of community events such as author talks, poetry open-mic and our monthly Storytelling Fridays. Downstairs we have a dedicated writers' room where …
I started this group because I like to write and play music and am looking for others with the same hashkafa (outlook or consciousness) My music is not Jewish per se, but its a good place to start, and we'll see where it goes from here. You should join this group if youd like to collaborate with real people in song, performance, dance, poetry rather than sit at home on your working computer. Original works are highly encouraged.

If you're using your voice to further your career as a singer, performer, or keynote speaker, you know how vital it is to work from your best vocal capability. To BOOK that job; To CONNECT to new clients; to CREATE new business. You've got to be able to breathe properly, reach your full range of notes, have more stamina, relaxation, and more power for projection. I know that all too well, as I continue to be an active performer myself. By working with the same proprietary Controlled Relaxation t …

We offer a whole array of meetups, from group singing classes to discussions about internal blockages and how to transform them into momentum. Some of these are formal classes (Donation based! Money should never be an obstacle to great training), and some of them are just time set aside to connect with like minded people who might be further down the path, or …
