We announce to you the proud development of the Charlotte Music Awards, co-founded by Jeffrey Cheen and Michael Evans...and now a meetup group- a new voice to support the efforts of Charlotte's community of artists. Bringing together music professionals and those who manage the needs and concerns of such artists, the CMA's MEETUP exists to embrace the agenda of the Charlotte Music Awards! From providing vocal health tips for artists to developing music workshops that are customized by the unique needs of our great artists, we are here to serve every genre of talent. The CMA is affiliated with the L.A. Music Awards, the longest running major awards show for independent artists in the country - and now in its 18th year. Also, the CMA is undertaking other measures to make local music a destination activity and even a tourist attraction, not only through the Showcase Series but also by initiating a Walk of Fame to celebrate those who have contributed to the rich musical history of the region.
